You have hundreds of wedding plans to make. Deciding who will bring your memories to life is one of your most important. When the excitement of your wedding is over, it’s beautifully captured images that help you to revisit the romance, emotion, and spirit of an event that passes so quickly. So How do you choose the best wedding photographer for you?
Deciding on whether or not to do a first look on your wedding day is a big decision believe it or not. Some couples love the idea of a first look and others are a bit more on the fence due to its unconventional nature. But before you make your decision, let’s talk about what exactly a first look is and why I think more couple’s should include them in their day!
Rachel and Colin started the day with a few of their closest family members and friends as they prepped for their wedding. They shared a traditional first look. Then, surrounded by 28 of their closest family and friends, they said their vows, exchanged rings, and their best friend, Billy pronounced them as husband and wife!
I gave them fun prompts during their session and they just went for it! No matter what I asked them to do they trusted each other with each fun, silly, and sweet pose I put them in, and even better, they trusted me to capture them just as they are!!
We took photos as we hiked to the peak of the mountain and right when we got there maybe 20 feet in front of us was a black bear. Yes, a teenage black bear stood in front of us sniffing the ground and when he hear us he looked up and made eye contact with the three of us.
This was like any other date night they had had together. They went out and ended up at Fairmount down by the water. It wasn’t until they were underneath the pergola that Michelle realized what was about to happen. Rob proposed right there as the sunset over the water.
Katrina and Jeremy planned their fall wedding with much anticipation for the day that it would actually arrive. And from the minute their day began you could see the excitement in their faces. And it was more beautiful than they could have ever imagined, with sage greens and white florals to accent Katrina, she was absolutely stunning in her wedding dress. She was the most beautiful and stunning bride!
This downtown Lancaster Engagement session was perfect for this music loving couple! Their wedding day is just 1 month away! Let’s take a stroll down memory lane together!
There is always this moment. When the brides hair is done and her dress is on. It’s that moment when the veil gets put on and the bride takes a deep breath, because she is ready. Kari had that moment. She was calm and patient and ready to walk down the aisle to her husband.
These two had one of the most beautiful first looks I have seen, possibly ever! They stood back to back as they read their personal vows to each other. Gabrielle, started. She read the first sentence out loud and then paused. She pursed her lips and looked up to the sky as tears fell from her eyes.
Now their life looks a lot different than it used to in Tennessee. But they are enjoying every single moment of it. They explored these cliffs, like it was their home. Without a fear in the world. They played and laughed and ran and jumped like kids on a playground.
Newborn sessions are a big part of my business and my heart, next to weddings, this is my favorite thing to photograph! I just love perfecting these poses, styling these precious sessions, and freezing these moments that go by so fast! It may be cliche, but it’s true! Your baby won’t be a baby forever!
Amie and Nathan’s wedding was an absolute dream! Dark rain clouds threatened their outdoor ceremony. But, Amie and Nathan stuck it out and were blessed with a beautiful weather for their outdoor ceremony, and even got a sprinkle of rain for good luck right before it started.
Nicole and Cody’s Intimate Vault 634 Wedding was the perfect blend of classic and modern, which created a bold and timeless look! Their ivory Burgundy and blush florals accented their gold accented venue, an old bank turned into an event space, perfectly.
Heather and Tim’s New York wedding, was filled with pinks, purples, reds, and greens, with florals complete with cascading purple and pink ribbons. Their day started with a beautiful ceremony at their church building, and ended under twinkling lights, with views of the sun setting over the mountain tops.
Kenny and Kari have got to have one of the most unique and sweet proposal stories I’ve heard yet! It was the day before Easter and Kenny had ever detail planned out to a T! He had spent the past week in his wood shop building not one but two boxes to bury in the ground. Yup, you read that right! The first box was bigger, and inside he placed pictures and memories from their past year of dating, as well as the smaller second box, which held the real treasure!
Lindsey and Greg met 6 years ago while bowling with friends. After losing touch they got back in contact when Lindsey’s friend gave her Greg’s number and suggested she text him. Since then, the conversation has never stopped!
Abby and Micah had the most beautiful white church wedding, with purple, navy, floral, and brick accents! They got married on the perfect summer day. The sun was out, but there was a breeze in the air that felt as if it came from heaven. And when it passed by, it gently picked up Abby’s veil into the air with a swift soft motion.
Sara and Jon’s colorful boho wedding at Longacres Farm, was truly a labor of love. Sara and Jon planned this wedding so meticulously to make the day a true reflection of their relationship and their love for one another. From her wearing her grandmother’s necklace, to hand picked pampas, handmade signs, and hand plucked trees, this day was special moment to moment.

Our Hawaiian honeymoon was a dream! Before we went, people told me, “It’s like nothing else in the world!” And my response was always, “of course it’s Hawaii!” But it wasn’t until I experienced it for myself that I truly understood what they meant. The Kauaiian island greets you with the most beautiful mountain views […]

I never force my clients into a pose or make the kids do anything they don’t want to. My approach is more organic. I like to watch a family be a family. My favorite photos are the ones where kids are being kids and parents are being their very best friends, exploring and laughing alongside them. And that is exactly what this session was like! We danced, twirled, and giggled our way through this family session in the best way!
Tyler and Jace’s intimate wedding at Grand Eastonian Hotel was a beautiful display of love. As they pledged their love for each other on the rooftops of the hotel, Jace proclaimed just how lucky and in awe he was that he got to marry Tyler.
Will and Victoria’s wedding felt intimate even with a full room of guests. They spent time slowing down and enjoying each moment. And their love was magnetic the entire night.
