NYC Engagement Session | Brooklyn Bridge Engagement Photos | Travel Engagement Photographer

Amanda and Gary were temporarily living in New York City for work when they decided to reach out about their engagement session. As an adventure-focused photographer don’t head into the city often, but I love the chance to explore any landscape! We had so much fun exploring Brooklyn on this chilly day!

Amanda and Gary’s Engagement Session in DUMBO, Brooklyn

Destination Engagement Photography

If you follow me on Instagram you know that I jump at any opportunity to travel with my couples to get incredible photos. Usually, my photography takes me to national parks and incredible beaches, but when Amanda and Gary asked me to visit them in Brooklyn, I was so excited about a change of scenery! They wanted to get some photos on the Brooklyn Bridge and explore Dumbo to celebrate their engagement and their time living in the city.

On the morning of their engagement session, I woke up to find it was 5 degrees Fahrenheit outside! I quickly sent them a text to make sure they were still okay with running around outside, and I was so relieved when they were! We all bundled up as much as we possibly could, and headed over to the bridge. We all absolutely froze, but Amanda and Gary snuggled up together and I’m so in love with how their photos turned out!

New York City Engagement Session Locations

There are so many phenomenal spots for engagement sessions in New York City. I absolutely loved shooting on the Brooklyn Bridge – it’s such an iconic spot with a stunning view of Manhattan in the background. I would also love to photograph an engagement session in Central Park in the future. There are so many places in the park to explore with stunning greenery and iconic architecture! Another great spot for engagement sessions in New York is the Top of the Rock. Not for anyone with a fear of heights, this observation deck is on the 70th floor of 30 Rockefeller Plaza, and it has the most incredible view of the city and the Empire State Building. Whether you’re an NYC local or want to make a trip to the big apple with your partner, I would love to take more photos in this incredible city, so reach out!
