I was so stoked from the moment that Haley and Seth’s email about their Washington Mt. Rainier Elopement landed in my inbox! I had never been there before and was so excited to photograph an elopement in such an incredible location.

Haley, Seth, and I hopped on a call right away to chat about their goals for their elopement at Mr. Rainier (aka Tahoma). Haley had fallen in love with the location after seeing it in a TikTok, and since they had never visited in person, they were totally open to any locations I chose. They wanted a simple elopement day focused on the two of them, and they knew they wanted to exchange their vows on a mountaintop. They explained that the mountain was representative of relationships – that love and life are not always easy and sometimes take a lot of effort, but if you stop and look around you will see just how beautiful the journey is.

I’m so thankful that Haley and Seth trusted me to find them a perfect elopement spot even though this was both our times visiting this national park. I was so excited to look into different locations and find the best spots and experiences for their elopement day. Our first spot was easy to reach and offered an epic view for them to hold their ceremony. After a quick change into comfy clothes, we hiked a mile with 1000 feet in elevation for a second location around sunset where they exchanged their vows. Although strenuous, the hike was absolutely worth it to see Tahoma from a higher perspective.

Watching these two celebrate their love on top of the mountain was such a gift. I am so grateful that I get to share these incredibly vulnerable and life-giving moments with people. Haley and Seth told me that they never knew if they’d find “the one”, but after meeting each other, they knew they had. Their love together is so bold and protective and I loved learning about their story and telling it through the images I captured on their day.
