Surprise Proposal Photoshoot | Pennsylvania Engagement Photographer | Trexler Nature Preserve Engagement Session

Nate and Michelle’s proposal at Trexler Nature Preserve was absolutely perfect! I had photographed an adventure session with them about two years ago on the Maryland coast, and we had so much fun exploring and chatting during that session. So when Nate reached out letting me know he was going to propose, I was so excited!

Michelle is a photographer herself, so Nate and I had the perfect plan to get her to Trexler Nature Preserve for the proposal. I reached out and told Michelle I was planning a styled photo shoot at the park and would love for her to photograph it with me. She agreed, so Nate and I got to work planning the details! On the day of the proposal, Nate and I arrived early to set up the space and some of Michelle’s best friends came along and hid to surprise her afterward! When it was time for Michelle to arrive, I headed back to the parking lot to meet her and help her unload her photo gear, and as we walked into the park she spotted Nate surrounded by rose petals and candles with a ring in his hand.

Nate and Michelle spent the rest of the evening on cloud nine as we walked around the park under the most gorgeous sunset. After a quick celebration with her friends and a few FaceTime calls, we headed out into the fields and they snuggled together to watch the sun go down. Michelle kept looking down at her new ring and saying, “I can’t believe this is happening!”. Trexler Nature Preserve was the perfect spot for their special moment, and the rolling hills made for some absolutely stunning photos. I love all proposals, but Nate did an especially fantastic job planning this one and I’m so grateful I got to be a part of it!
