This anniversary session with Jes and Chris in the Finger Lakes was so cozy and romantic! I love photographing couples at all different stages of life and seeing the love that these two have built over the past 15 years was incredible. You don’t need a special occasion to capture some beautiful memories with your partner!

Jes and Chris’ anniversary fell right around the time that I was already going to be in the Finger Lakes area for an elopement, so it was the perfect time to get some cozy photographs at this stunning Airbnb! Since their wedding was 6 years ago and they just added an adorable new puppy to the family, it was definitely time for Jes and Chris to get some updated photos. They are both self-proclaimed “homebodies”, so we knew we wanted to do a laid-back and romantic in-home session, and I just absolutely love how it turned out!

In-Home Anniversary Photos

While I love photographing couples in their own homes, prepping your home for a photo shoot can be a lot of work! Between cleaning and moving furniture for the best light, it can really take a lot out of you. A fantastic alternative if you’re looking for “in-home” photos is renting an Airbnb as we did for this session! This session was at Kester Homestead in New York, but you can find gorgeous homes all over the country! We especially loved the neutral decor and big windows in this home, but my favorite detail was the music room! There are so many great homes available for rent with unique details, and they can make such incredible backdrops for photo sessions!
