When Taylor and Brandon wanted to do an anniversary adventure session, the day after their Zion elopement, I was all in! While I love using adventure sessions to celebrate an engagement, there’s nothing quite like capturing the love of newlyweds, especially in a place as beautiful as the Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park.

Our adventure session in the Utah sand dunes took place just a few weeks after Taylor and Brandon’s wedding. They were clearly so in love, and still riding high on the excitement of their nuptials. We spent the day running up and down the sand dunes, capturing their laughter and joy. At the end of the session, Brandon surprised Taylor with a little birthday celebration, since her birthday was a few days later. He brought out ice cream and we sang Happy Birthday to her, and Taylor shouted that it was her “best birthday ever” while I clicked away from behind the camera.

Taylor and Brandon were married just a few weeks before our session at their very own venue: Warehouse 100, located in New Holland, Pennsylvania. Yup, they decided to create a custom venue for their wedding, and turned it into a successful business! They christened the space as the first couple to be married there, and it was absolutely stunning. They decided they didn’t want their wedding celebration to end, so they came out to Utah to continue the celebration.

I had so much fun with these two on our trip to Utah. We not only got to capture this gorgeous adventure session together, but I was also fortunate enough to capture their elopement celebration in Zion National Park. They are such a unique, caring couple, and it was so lovely to watch them continue their wedding celebrations in a place that meant so much to them. Elope In Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park 

Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, close to Kanab Utah is made up of over 3,000 acres of pink sand formed by Navajo Sandstone, with so much room to explore! The sand is constantly moved by the wind, moving up to 50 feet each year, and creating a sea-like effect in the landscape. Are you thinking about an adventure session or elopement in Utah? If so the Sand Dunes is a great location with so many activities nearby. You can go sand boarding down the dunes in your wedding attire, or go off roading and rent ATVS to explore even more as you ride around the hills and kick up sand, and even explore slot canyons within the park! Rent an airbnb close by or stay in the desert clamping style at Base Camp 37. Be sure to check out permits that are required for this state park.
