Wissahickon Park Engagement Session

Wissahickon Engagement session

Michelle and Rob’s fall Wissahickon Park engagement session was one of my favorites of the year! Don’t get me wrong, every engagement session is my favorite, because I love all my couples! But what made this one special for me, was the time of year we planned it for. The last weekend in October is the best time of the year in PA to see the gorgeous fall color. And that is exactly when we did this session!

Warm tones are my favorite! So when Michelle and Rob told me they wanted to choose a spot with prime foliage for their session, you could say I was excited! They planned in advance to make sure that we could do this session during the best time for these magical orange and yellow colors. We had so much fun exploring the trails and chatting about travel, good eats, and their wedding day dreams together!

How They Met:

Michelle had just graduated PA school and Rob was just taking the time to enjoy his summer. They both happened to be out at the same bar. When Rob saw Michelle he thought she was cute and decided to introduce himself. However, he was wearing a loud flamingo button down and they both laughed about his choice of outfit, then Rob dared Michelle to dance with him… and she did! They kept in contact and then got together and watched How to Train your Dragon on their first date.

Once they told me how they met and all about their first date, I knew these were my kind of people! I mean their relationship was built off of a flamingo shirt, dancing in bars, and How to Train Your Dragon. How freaking adorable is that?! Don’t worry, it gets even cuter… Here’s how he proposed.

The Proposal:

Because Michelle and Rob live in Philadelphia they often go on date nights in the city and take walks through Fairmount Park together. This was like any other date night they had had together. They went out and ended up at Fairmount down by the water. It wasn’t until they were underneath the pergola that Michelle realized what was about to happen. Rob proposed right there as the sunset over the water. And now they think of it every time they go back.

Michelle and Rob, it has been so fun getting to know you two and hearing about your love story. You two are soo sweet together. I already can’t wait for your wedding next year!! Enjoy the holidays together!!
