I got to know Kristen and Christian during this cozy intimate in-home session. I love how these two played together during their session. Christian is clearly the jokester of the two, and he kept Kristen laughing the whole time! We made sure to include items from their everyday life in their session too. Christian played guitar while Kristen studied the Bible. They shared some of their favorite worship songs and verses with one another, and ended the session with some prayer to lift up their marriage. When a couple allows me into their inner lives and opens up like this, it is so beautiful and is one of my absolute favorite things to document. 

These are so much more than pretty pictures. These are moments shared, times remembered, and plans being made. They are moments of their lives unfolding. 

My goal is always to have my couples leave my sessions feeling like they fell in love all over again. If you can look at your photos and feel the emotion of those moments and share with me a personal story that each photo represents then I’ve done my job. Love is being open and honest, sharing your talents and passions, putting each other’s talents and passions first, and cheering each other on along the way. And I think all of those thoughts are shared perfectly in Kristen and Christian’s session. Their love is truly inspiring. 

Kristen and Christian, thank you so much for sharing your journey with me. From high school sweat hearts to 7 successful years of marriage, you two have been through so much and have come through it all persevering in love, and it shows! Thank you for continuing to inspire couples and for being such a beautiful example of a perfectly imperfect marriage.
