Paige was a past bride of mine, so when she reached out about a maternity session I was so excited! It was so great to catch up and document the next stage of her and Jake’s life together! One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is getting to be a continuous part of my clients’ lives as they hit incredible new milestones.

Paige’s Maternity Session at Ott’s Exotic Plants

Greenhouse Maternity Photography

Paige wanted something a little non-traditional and boho for her maternity photos and I knew she’d love Ott’s Exotic Plants. Their greenhouse is less than an hour outside Philadelphia and is such an incredible spot that really makes you feel like you’re in a tropical paradise. While I’ve been there for engagement sessions before, this was my first time photographing a maternity session in the space and it did not disappoint! Paige’s white dress was the perfect contrast against the dark leaves, and it really made the photos feel sophisticated and full of emotion.

Maternity Session Dresses

One of the most common questions people have about maternity sessions is what to wear. Your clothes size will change quickly throughout pregnancy and after birth, so people are often hesitant to purchase an expensive dress that they may never be able to wear again. Paige found the perfect solution for her session – renting a dress from Etsy!

There are a few different shops on Etsy that offer rental maternity gowns, and I will definitely be recommending them for my future maternity shoots! The dresses are flowy and can fit a variety of sizes, and are much more affordable than buying!
