When I asked Julie and Gabe where they wanted to do their engagement session, they asked me if I would be willing to travel to the location where they had their first date, and of course my answer was yes! This location is sentimental to them for so many reasons and is just 3 miles from their house. They love biking and going for walks at this park, so it was the perfect spot to capture the essence of their relationship!

Julie and Gabe smiled the whole time. Julie says she loves how silly Gabe is and I have to agree! These two did not stop giggling the entire session and it was amazing!

How They Met:

“Gabe and I met on December 19, 2015. We were set up by my mom’s friend.  She knew Gabe because she would collect his ticket when he went to the high school athletic events and thought that Gabe and I would get along well, and she set us up.

Gabe and I met for the first time to go on a hike together at the Ned Smith Nature Center in my home town. This was very fitting, as being active and spending time outside are activities that are important to both of us. It was also a very relaxed, down to earth way to meet, which is characteristic of our relationship. Neither Gabe nor I are fancy or high maintenance – we enjoy relaxed and friendly environments the most.”

Their perfect date night:

“Our perfect date night together would be cooking a new recipe together, eating it outside while watching the sunset, and then relaxing with a great movie while cuddling.”
